We did a little game in game maker. Game maker is a platform that we can create 2d games.

My game was a platform game, I was the only one who that type of game. It consists in a player that has to jump into platforms and not fall into traps. The first level is very easy, but in the second level it starts complicating.

I really liked doing this game because we had to be very creative and i learned a lot about computer science.

We made a simple game in Unity, where the player who is a cube has to pass a enormous quantity of other cubes, and if he touches one the game restarts.

I really liked Unity because it has a lot of resources , like 3d programming, and it’s totally free, unlike other game platforms. And a lot of famous games are from Unity.

To make music and sound effects to our game we went to a music studio here at ESPM, we recorded music, sound effects and even a fart gun that was supposed to be a gun.

Then after to make the theme song to our games we went to a site called SoundTrap that we can record a variety of instruments, like piano, the drums and many others. Then we select the rhythm and record it. I did the theme song, a sad song and an excitement song.

It was very fun to do it, because we could test how would the music be and change until it was very good and then put it in our games.

And it was also very fun to go into the sound studio because we could emit any sound we wanted to put in our games.

The Pond Level in blockly games is the most difficult one in because it’s the last one. I completed this level with a help from my father.

There were two options to make the programmation: JavaScript and little blocks like scratch. I decided to do in JavaScript because it would be a a bonus challenge for me because I knew only the basics of it.

It was very difficult to do it because the player had to defeat other players that moved in different directions. But with a help from my father I upgraded my code and I completed the level!! Yaaaay!!! Thanks Father!!

Our assingnment was to pick a video game or an arcade and turn into a cardboard game.

My team chose pac-man, so we did a game about pac-man and with the same basics as the arcade. At first the game was pac-man eating all the ghosts in a race, but our teachers recomnended to change a little bit, so in the end the game was a very different from the beginning.

In the game there are 4 ghosts in total and one pac-man. The pac-man’s goal is not to eat all the pallets but to eat all the ghosts. The ghost’s goal is to eat pac-man as in the arcade. Each ghost has a special ability, and because there are 4 against one, pac-man has 3 lives.

It was very fun to do it, we had to be very creative!

I finished the final level of Bird in blockly games, it was very fun to do it.

Today our class played a RPG game called Lasers & Feelings, where we create our characters and a story and we have to roll a dice to see what happens.

Our story was about a company that sucked the life out of a planet to make fuel cells, and there was a crew who had to stop them, and there was another crew of employees that didn’t know that they were killing millions of plants and animals.

My character was called John Former, he was savvy and a soldier wanting to be a general. He was in the crew that wanted to stop Klarg company.

My character had to go undercover at the company, he had to kill some employees of the company, but he sacrificed himself for the others to survive.

I really liked this game because you have to think like the character you made, and it’s really cool.

I completed the maze on blockly games, at the first eight levels are really easy but the last two were very difficult. The last level was very difficult and I did it with a help from my friend, I helped him and he helped and together we completed. It was a lot of fun to do the Maze!
